Custom Valving

FAPO North America Service

Custom Valving

The damping your damper was capable of all along — tuned in-house by people who have been valving shocks for over two decades.

What custom valving means

Click adjusters change how much damping you have. Valving changes what kind. Inside every monotube damper is a stack of shims that decides how force builds with shaft speed — how the car takes a mid-corner bump, how it settles after a curb strike, how the nose behaves under trail braking. That shim stack is where a good coilover becomes a great one, and it's work our team has been doing in-house for more than twenty years, from street cars to full competition builds.

Tell us the car, the spring rates, the tire, and the job — daily, canyon, track day, time attack, drift — and we'll build compression and rebound curves to match, then confirm the result before it ships.

Three ways to get it

Valved with your kit

Order a PF or PT Series kit and have FAPO North America valve it to your spec before delivery — one package, ready to bolt on.

Revalved shocks

Already running FAPO? We supply revalved replacement shocks built to your target spec, so your car doesn't sit on jack stands waiting.

Do it yourself

Building your own shocks? We stock the shims, pistons, seals, and oil so you can purchase the items needed to revalve FAPO dampers yourself.  More coming soon!

Available on PF and PT Series

Custom valving is offered on PF Series and PT Series coilovers. This is the service the FAPO factory doesn't offer anywhere else — it's available only here, through FAPO North America.

Tell us how you drive. We'll build the curve.
